How The System Works
Our Data Warehouse is located in secure premises with Uninterruptible Power Supplies and duplicated alarm systems. We have
multiple servers, connected in RAID configuration, and mounted in immoveable 19" racks for improved protection. All client data is
duplicated on our system and each night a further copy of all data is made and taken to a second site. Thus, including the clients’
copy, at any given moment there are four sets of data, located in three geographically separate sites. It is not without foundation that
we can claim our clients’ data to be 100% safe in our care.
When you wish to recover your data, you can simply log on to our site, using the software we supply, and download the file(s) you
require, at any time. There is no restriction on how much or how often you recover your data. If you have a major disaster and require
too much to download, then we will supply this on DVD via the fastest means available, at no cost to you.
We do not charge to give you your data back, it is all part of the service
Monthly Archive DVD
We offer monthly DVD copies of your data so that you can build your own archive of the daily versions of all your files and, as part of that
service, we store duplicates on your behalf, just in case you have a problem with accessing your archive. We try to think of everything.
........ AND NOW ............
if you have removed your archive from your business premises there are FIVE copies of your data in existence, across FOUR sites.
We do not believe that, short of a nuclear war (in which case you won’t care!) that it is statistically possible for you, as a Data Vault client,
to lose your data
Out Recovery Plan
You are entitled to ask what The Data Vault’s plans are for the situation when we are on the receiving end of a major disaster such as
fire, flood etc. Our second site is not only a secure storage location for daily data updates, but is also fitted out with computers and high
speed Internet access so that in the event of a major disaster at our prime site, we can be up and running, with all data intact, within
one to two working days. You can depend on The Data Vault.
